The Future of International Football.

Who are the heirs, to this prestigious throne?

As this is my first piece on this wonderful website, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Deano, my Twitter handle is @TheHotProspect_ and I am the newest addition to the team. Anyway, let’s get down to business.

As the flickering candle of Spain slowly, but surely, comes to an end, football’s international stage is looking for a new country that is going to take the biggest stage by the sruff-of-the-neck. There are many potential candidates, both obvious, and unseen, and here are just some of them.

Brazil.

The beautiful culture, and adorance of football is something that will never come to a stop in this beautiful country, and with it’s current crop of young talents, the trophies their constant dominance in world football doesn’t look like it’s going to come to a halt, either. Their line-up is filled with dazzling stars and starlets alike, such as frequent captain Thiago Silva, hailed the best defender in the world, Neymar of Santos, and Oscar of Chelsea.

Belgium:

Having never won a World Cup, or a European Championship, Belgium are definitely due one, and with their current crop coming through, there is no reason for them not to. Their captain is arguably the best defender in the Premier League, and they have youngsters who are impressing, and catching the eye of many, such as Eden Hazard, Christian Benteke and Kevin De Bruyne.

Germany:

The Germans, after having a lot of success in the past on this stage, are destined to have some more success in the near future; with an absolutely outstanding amount of depth – of both senior players, and youngsters. I, myself, have recently found interest in the Bundesliga – and after a few weeks, I realised that I completely underrated the whole country. Players like Reus, Götze, Schürrle and Wollscheid are just some of the massive names, that struggle to even get on the bench.

France:

It was the French’s throne that was stolen by the Spanish – this nation, that has been consistently at the top of world football, has also a massive future ahead. They have some very talented, underrated playrs, coming through the ranks – such as Lacazette, M’baye Niang, Capoue, Pogba and Sanogo. These, in my eyes, all have potential to be world class, but as we’re seeing such a phenomenal era of starlets at the moments, they seem to be getting overshadowed – by reasons I don’t understand.

Italy:

After being found to have been involved in some unpredictable match-fixing, as a result, being put in shame in front of every nation, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. The national league, the Serie A, seems to be getting back to it’d best, again. Players like Insigne, Napoli, and Immobile, Genoa, have the potential to follow in the footsteps, and if none of football’s formidable obstacles trip them up on their way, Italy’s national team will be nothing to mess with.

England:

Writing this word, amongst all these others, made me smile. We, England, haven’t had the best of times recently. After the golden-90s, a new era was very promising – with the Rooneys, Ferdinands and Lampards, but they never really gelled. Now, however, I can see a real threat to the big-boys coming along. We’ll clearly be strong in the midfield, with Jack Wilshere, Tom Cleverley, and others like Ross Barkley – depth up front, with Andy Carroll, whom I rate highly, and Danny Welbeck – as well as in the defence, with Luke Shaw, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling – I have massive hopes.

This article could be never-ending, so some other countries that deserve mentions, for possible future-success are: Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, Portugal and Montenegro – and many, many more. The list is endless.

In conclusion, my prediction for the best national team in the world come 2015-2020 is Germany. This is because, I feel the youngsters have the perfect role-models to nurture them, such as Schweinsteiger and Phillip Lahm, but they also have a team full of grounded young men, who I believe are the most talented, too.

Thanks for reading, feedback appreciated very much.
